New Mexico Trip.

A few weeks ago - more like in the end of august, Tim and I took a trip to New Mexico, where we obtained my new shiny Toyota Corolla S (well not so new, 2007 model). We were both exited for our flight to NM since we both haven't been on a plane in quite a while. The lines in the airport were rather small so we got to our gate early. Grabbed some starbucks on the way, and were treated to a free gate carry on check in - which was lovely since we didn't have to worry about it when it was time to switch flights. The flight was alright nothing too scary, Mt. Rainier looked gorgeous from the plane window, and Tim and I even had time to play some sudokus. ;P

In Phoenix we had lunch, unfortunatly pizza hut - meaning that I broke my diet ;_;.
We boarded a much smaller plane and headed of to Albuquerque. There we were greeted by thunderstorms and lightning. At uncle Boris's house we had some not that tasty plov for dinner and watched a marathon of Resident Evil. The next day we assembled car documents and relaxed in the pool. Finally I think it was on Thursday - we started our trip back. Our first stop - Grand Canyon, AZ. It was magestic, unfortunatly tainted by rain that was drenching us. The views were magnificent, when you see things like this you realize just how small a part of this world you are - and how nature is older, stronger, and much more powerful.

We attempted to go see the Hoover Dam as well, but by the time we got there it was already dark, so we didn't get to see much. :/
The next day we traveled to the Sequoia National Park. I absolutely loved it! The Giant Sequoias were so worth seeing. They feel different to the touch, because their bark is different from other trees, it also has a very distinct red colouring. It made me really happy to see these gigantic old trees. (:

After admiring the giant sequoias we headed on to Yosemite National Park to look at El Capitan and take a short hike to mirror lake. I was really scared because I thought there were bears in the woods and it was getting dark!
